Thoughts that spill out of my head into the internet ether. Who am I ? I'm a juggler comedian / talent agent who works and lives near Ottawa, Canada. Want to know more. Read on.. but it's not all for the faint of heart.

"OH MY GOD"

So I'm working at a Giant Tiger store opening, making balloons for a few with "B-Radical Balloons"

I'm almost at my four hour mark, and I'm just getting around to my last few balloons. I tell my last little patron "Ok you are the last balloon I'm going to make today", she asks "Is it OK if I get one for my brother too?" - "Sure no problem." So i start twisting away, and as I'm working on these last two balloons a little blonde girl, maybe 5 yrs old, walks by me, stops dead in her tracks, points one finger and exclaims in a loud voice "OH MY GOD!" She's pointing right at me "OH MY GOD! "He's taking straight balloons and making them into animals! Mom see that!?" So i made one more for her.. totally made my day. (it was a great day anyways, but that was the icing on the cake.)

My cat is sick!

My cat is sick! She was out of commission for a few days - was throwing up repeatedly and limping around the house as she was in pain. It wasn't pretty. After a day and a half of this we took her to the vet, and there was a concern that she had eaten some string. A nasty prospect as the solution was surgery. So I opted for the X-Ray, and sure enough she hadn't eaten some string, she'd eaten some plaster. It looked like the plaster had mostly passed through her system, but it had come out a little in her poo.

Meanwhile - while the cat was getting Xrays - I was taking my van in to get it fixed up a bit. It turns out that the vet and the mechanic work side by side. I could always ask my mechanic (with my cat in hand) "can I get parts for this ?" Can I get this fixed?" "Can i get an oil change?"

All told ot was an expensive a day as it could have been, and most importantly Annie is alright. It's funny how Annie always gets sick, and Waldo doesn't. This is probably due to the fact that Waldo is quite a bit heavier and lazy (she sleeps 20 hours a day if she can) and Annie is up all over the neighbourhood licking random objects, and eating plaster.

Winterlude

Yesterday was another beautiful day at Winterlude. The sun was shining, it was -10C and there were HUGE crowds. Jon and I were working as referee's animating a site in front of some HONDA vehicles (I'm dying to talk to them about sponsorship), and we had a pair of penguins out roaming the site. I'll have to post some pictures.. still on my camera yet.

Today Carrie, myself and Caleb are off to visit Caleb's great grandpa for the first time. It's Grandpa's birthday, so this will be a big birthday treat. Grandpa is turning 88yrs old, while Caleb is all of 3 months.

The little man is doign great! He's sleeping through the night, which is a real blessing. He's also packing on the weight, after 3 months he's dobled his birthweight - and only with breastfeeding. But my nipples are getting sore.

Tomorrow is a busy weekend - in February too! Winterlude kicks off, and we've got a few penguins, some comedians, and I'm working all weekend at the Children's Museum doing yoyo shows...... cool. It's a goody.
