Poem

Deconstructing a Poem,
Lines, meter, rythm,
the occassional image
like a mirage
teasing yet fleeting
from reality.
A caucaphony of words
filling up space on an empty page.
words without purpose
are a momentary distraction
from meaningless worries.
this word has MEANING
the font implies
but it's exterior is a hollow shell
in the end it is just a word on a page.
a line in a poem
a character on a page
and this puntcuation mark
implies finality.
